Fyah Dance Complex is a dance studio like no other! Its day to day business is a contemporary and urban facility for students under 18 in Perth. It's unknown arm is a charity organisation that works with young indigenous kids in remote towns. Tahlia Hunter who owns Fyah Dance spends much of her time inspiring youth up North with the help of some very renowned artists. The organisation is backed by Margaret Court Foundation and has some fantastic initiates and incentive programs for kids around WA.

The Tank was engaged to create a more fitting and modern brand and online platform for Fyah. The concept for the identity was to replicate the way that Tahlia used to sign off on the company letters with her hand writing. To create a one off typeface and logo type that would be free flowing and natural in shape. We also used some modern dance illustrations and mixed media to support the brand and act as a backdrop for signage and marketing material.

The role for the website was to create a blogging type portal for the group to be notified of upcoming events, see photos of recent happenings and to be kept up to date with all the great work happening in schools. The important requirement was to ensure that all students and participants would interact with the site and feel it was part of their day to day social networking stops.

We can't wait to see how things develop for the business and to see all the great work Fyah does to put Perth on the map for hip hop dance and as a place that the top dancers are drawn to. Fyah has come a long way in doing this and is looking for funding to take their project all over the country.
